VE's Guide to the California Mussel Decal Requirement

All D11NR Vessel Examiners,
The following is from the National V Dept. regarding the new recently issued State of California mussel decal:
"Since having the sticker is a local requirement, it would fall under Item 14 ,
State and Local Requirements, on the 7012 form."
This new requirement applies to ALL vessels used on fresh waters within the state.
The only vessels that are exempt are vessel that are used EXCLUSIVELY in salt water,
provided the owner requests an exemption from the state. Please read the
